Magical Maldives. The ultimate destination for sun-seekers and beach lovers. Islands with so few guests you will feel like you have the islands to yourself. Surrounded by crystal clear oceans where dolphins, stingrays and sea turtles are in their natural habitat.
Five Star Hotels & Resorts
This luxury resort gives a new definition to luxury. We stayed in their Over Water Pool Villa which is 267 square meters and beautifully decorated with dark wood and white linen. It has it's own glass-bottomed bathtub, over water hammocks and private pool and sundeck.
Morning Yoga is offered to all guests at 7am on the Spa's Sundeck and private Yoga classes can be booked throughout the day. Exceptional service and no complaints what so ever.
Trendy, modern and relaxed. This resort is set on two different islands where you can walk over to the other side by a bridge. Wellness is everywhere, at their gorgeous over-water Spa as well as inside the Villas. My favourite restaurant on the whole trip was The Mandhoo Spa restaurant which is completely surrounded by the turquoise ocean and inspired by the five elements: air, earth, fire, water and plants. Healthy, nourishing and detoxing food is on the menu at this amazing restaurant.
Scandinavian white over-water pool villas with a large sundeck where you can watch dolphins in the sunrise and the sunset. This resort is the most southern island and the wildlife of the water world is constant. At a spontaneous snorkling (not organised), we saw spinner dolphins, sea turtles, octopus and large stingrays. Perfect for the adventurers.
Don't leave Maldives without...
Star Gazing - Start your evening laying down on the cushions at this over-water rooftop bar, sipping on a Mojito. Make your way to a private observatory and watch the stars and galaxies from the middle of the ocean. Since you're on a private island, there are no lights that brights up the sky which makes the stars extra bright.
Male - Maldives are so much more than just beaches and turquoise water. Start or finish your holiday by visiting the busy capital and it is like any hectic Asian city - buzzing and full of life. Just walk around and take in the energy, visit some restaurants and see the real life of the Maldivians.
