LISA WINGÅRDH'S BLOG

My last day in Delhi has been so beautiful. Woke up early so I went to the rooftop at 5am to do Meditation, Yoga and Journaling. When I got up there they had lightened all the fairy lights and you could see the stars from the rooftop. Watched the sunrise after my Yoga, Indian sunrises and sunsets are something else.

I finished my 30 days prep course today, all students have done a 30 days online preparations course where we have learned more about the Yoga philosophy and one Yoga class a day.

After breakfast I went for a walk, did some more studying and then me and Sarah had Thali for lunch, one of my absolute favourite indian dish. Then we went to a market close by and had smoothies, visited a temple and went to some small boutiques. When we got back we did Yoga on the rooftop in the sunset with two guys who are also going to Rishikesh for their teacher training.

My flight is at 11am tomorrow and then I'm finally getting to Rishikesh and checking in to the Ashram. Really can't wait!

I was awake for 2 hours last night between 4am-6am because of all the sounds from the City. Delhi is so alive and wide awake in the daytime and night-time, the energi here is so strong.

When I woke up I went up to the rooftop, meditated for 20 minutes, wrote in my journal and picked a card from my "Yogic Path" card deck. After that I did a 1 hour Yoga class from my 30 day prep course, felt like a new person even though I slept bad. I did another hour in the sunset which was so beautiful. Luxury is doing Yoga twice in a day. ✹

Last night when I was brushing my teeth someone was knocking on the bathroom door. When I opened there was a beautiful woman with big, green eyes looking at me saying "I'm so so sorry", with a British accent. We started talking, and she asked me how long I'm staying in Delhi for. When I told her I'm going to Rishikesh on Thursday for my Yoga Teacher Training, "Me too!", she said.

I asked her where and it turns out that she is going to the same Ashram as me! 😍

It turned out that we are staying in the same bunk bed in our hostel here in Delhi! What are the chances? And it dosen't end there, turns out we both have left our stressful office jobs to go on this Teacher Training. The feeling of meeting someone who knows exactly what you've been through and going through is indescribable. So meant to be.

After breakfast we went to this beautiful garden café to study some of the Yoga books we have as required reading. Then we went for a walk in a park and around our area in Delhi.

If anyone reading this ever wants to travel somewhere but don't have anyone to travel with - GO ALONE! You will make friends for life and meet people who are on the exact same page as you in life. I can't recommend it enough đŸ™đŸŒ

Last Monday I took the train to the office and sat by the desk for 8 hours. This Monday I'm finally in India and these are just some of the beautiful views today. I don't even think I can get how big the contrasts are.

I arrived in Delhi at 7am, very tired but excited to be back in India for the third time. This time feeling like coming home, I know how crazy it sounds but it felt like coming back to your summer house or a place where you spent all your summers as a child.

The first two times I went to India I remember being so overwhelmed and shocked by a lot of things. This time it was completely different. If feels like I can relax and just enjoy India now when I don't get surprised or scared.

When I arrived I tried to take out cast at the airport, tried 8 different ATMs and none of them was working. A lovely indian girl walked with me to all different ATMs to try to help me. She managed to get out cash on her card so I ended up asking a guy in his thirties if he knew a ATM close by the airport.

"Where are you going? I'll book you the taxi.", he said straight away.

I told him that I could get a taxi by the taxi stand but I just wondered if there was any ATM I could tell the Taxi driver to stop by. The same second I finished speaking he said, "I'll give you the cash, here's 500 rupees for the taxi. I tried to tell him again and again that he really didn't need to give me the money but he was just like:

"Don't worry about it, it's good karma".

I think we have a lot to learn from spiritual countries like India. I can't believe how helpful these two people at the airport was being. The girl going with me to 8 different ATMs and the guy offering me the money for the taxi. Believing in Karma makes you want to help every single being around you and by doing that you get help in ways you didn't even know was possible. THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH đŸ™đŸŒ

I wasn't suppose to go to New Delhi at all, I was suppose to fly to New Delhi and then take a flight the same day to Rishikesh. I'm really happy I'm here and get to finish my 30 days prep course for the YTT. Today I did 1 hour online Yoga class after my nap. Tomorrow I will go up on the rooftop at my Hotel and do a Sun Salutations Class in the sunrise. I can't wait to get to Rishikesh and the mountains.

Thank you for reading 😘
